FEBRUARY 2026

Patricia has been in her new position as nurse navigator for about 6 months, and she has shown great efficiency, teamwork, and the willingness to work hard and learn new things. She has taken on new projects and has been willing to fill in at any clinic at any time. She is keeping all 8 clinics survey ready, and she has been a great addition to the sub-rural clinics. We are so blessed to have her on our team. Thank you Patricia!

Lindsay goes above and beyond for our clinic and our patients. She has made a remarkable impact and has become a vital part of the team. She has mastered scheduling with ease and is always willing to get both our established and new patients seen in a timely manner. Our patients love her. She treats them with kindness, patience, and genuine care, making patients feel heard and supported from the moment they interact with her.

Labrisa doesn't just do her job professionally; she truly cares about you emotionally. I look at her as my sister, and she treats me like that as well. She goes above and beyond what is required of her, and this comes from a person who has spent the past 1.5 years working in hospitals. She is wonderful!

Jennifer is absolutely refreshing to get to work with. She cares deeply about her job, the clinic staff, and patient care. That passion is demonstrated in her work effort and the quality of her work. She never takes the "easy way out"; she always does the right thing, follows all the correct, tedious steps, and ensures testing is thorough before it dares touch or impact our patient care! She has stepped into a new role with a great amount of responsibility, expectations, and a high learning curve, but she is handling it gracefully. She makes work better each day and is someone you enjoy tackling tricky issues with. Jennifer is incredibly deserving of a Health Hero Award.

I want to recognize Carol for all the hard work that she does on behalf of our patients. She has spent over three hours on the phone, plus gathered multiple types of required paperwork, pre-authorization for visits, and labs. to help get insurance approval for an elderly couple whose insurance had dropped the hospital. She spoke to multiple people within the insurance organization to ensure this couple could continue to come to Velma Family Care. This is only one example of her being a patient's advocate. 

Dawn went above and beyond to help my family during my father's medical emergency. She ensured valuable information was communicated to the ED providers and made our family's experience less stressful. Thank you SO MUCH, Dawn! You truly are a Health Hero.

Devin went above and beyond, caring not only for DRH patients but also going out of his way to help our cancer patients get what they needed. We needed a specific filter that our materials management did not carry. He came up with the idea to call the dialysis center to see if they had them. He drove down, picked them up, and brought them back to the pharmacy to get them to the nurses for the patient. He was very dedicated, and we appreciate his effort. 

 Ashton went above and beyond to get my insurance company to cover my newly prescribed medicine. After denials and a lot of persisitence, she finally got it approved. This is so appreciated. 

Charlcie went above and beyond for my mom when she was in the ER. She stayed a little longer than she had to, making sure my mom was comfortable. She is truly kind, caring, and everything a nurse should be. Thank you Charlcie, for all that you did for my mom. I know it's just your job to you but to us your kindness in that moment was huge!

Phillip has done a tremendous job implementing our new PACs upgrade. He has put in a lot of time and effort into this task, which didn't go unnoticed. He has gone above and beyond to assist with training and set up with our team members and vendors. He has been so helpful and is so appreciated. Thanks, Phillip, for all you do.
