DECEMBER 2024
Brooke Orf, RN
EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
We received the best care when we brought my husband to the ER when he was having a stroke. The care he received was amazing. Brooke was our nurse and she is a loving, caring nurse. We were so happy she was there to keep us calm and help us understand what the medicines and tests were doing.
Gaylene Sleeth
EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
When my husband came to the ER having a stroke, Gaylene made sure my husband got a room fast so he could continue to get the best care! The care he received was amazing and I would bring my family to DRH anytime to receive the best care.
Lauren Loafman, RN
EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
My husband came to the ER having a stroke, and he was seen so fast and received amazing care - life-saving care. Lauren was my husband's nurse. She was kind, loving, understanding, and explained everything to us. We are so blessed with her being there.
Sal Hernandez, RN
EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
Sal did an amazing job caring for my elderly father in the ER. You could tell he was an experienced nurse who knew what he was doing. He listened intently and did an excellent job of explaining everything being done. Due to the nature of the visit, Sal spent a lot of time at the bedside rendering care. His easy-going manner put everyone at ease. My dad was thoroughly impressed with Sal and bragged about him after discharge. We are fortunate to have Sal at DRH.
Dr. Brandy Montes
EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
My husband came to the ER having a stroke. He received the best care that made the difference between life and death. Dr. Montes - what a beautiful asset to the ER. She was so patient, kind, and understanding. She was so good to us. Amazing doctor! Thank you for everything.
Dr. Nathan Elfrink
Radiology
I have received multiple compliments regarding the exceptional care that Dr. Elfrink gives his patients. They love that he gives a thorough explanation of the procedure, the reasons and benefits of the procedure, and what to expect afterward. Dr. Elfrink is a wonderful person to work with and learn from as well as a valuable part of the DRH Health team.
This is Dr. Elfrink's 2nd Honor.
Shayle Brewer

Shayle is such a great team player. She is willing to work at any location for any team member at anytime. She is a quick learner, and she works very hard to get the work done without complaint. Her personality lights up the room wherever she goes, and she is such a blessing to every clinic she visits. Thank you Shayle, for joining the DRH rural clinics. We are so glad to have you on board!
Valerie Arms
Marlow Family Care
Valerie has made an incredible difference at Marlow Family Care. Her warm, compassionate nature and determination to meet the patients’ needs have been a great example to the team, and she has helped to increase the patient satisfaction by 15 points! Valerie has also voluntarily agreed to learn how to become a medical assistant and licensed phlebotomist to assist with the workflow in the office. She is the epitome of DRH’s mission of providing compassionate and exceptional healthcare while improving our community’s health. Thank you, Valerie for bringing your team together and for serving our patients so well.
Allison Brown, RN
EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
My daughter was brought into the ER the day after Thanksgiving, where it was determined she would need surgery. My daughter was scared to death - she hates all things medical. Allison was so sweet and kind. She checked on her constantly and explained everything that was happening. She was reassuring to my daughter the entire time. After surgery, Allison checked on her on the 3rd floor and even brought her a soft Christmas blanket which brought the biggest smile to my daughter. I cannot say how thoughtful that was and how above and beyond it was for her to do that. Because of Allison, a horrible Thanksgiving break for my daughter was made a little better."
Debbie Patrick, LPN
Waurika Family Care
Debbie has cared for patients for over 30 years. She knows nursing. She is now volunteering her time to teach the next generation of nurses by allowing them to shadow her twice a week for two semesters. This takes a lot of her time, but she has graciously taken on the responsibility in order to pass down her love of nursing and her love of patient care. I also want to recognize Debbie for covering for two providers while one of the providers has been without a nurse. Her plate has been full, but she has always helped others in their time of need. Thank you, Debbie. We greatly appreciate you.
