Dr. Deanna Ward Plain

Deanna Ward Plain, MD is becoming a familiar face in Jefferson County. She began seeing patients at Jefferson County Hospital and Waurika Family Care in November. Her day begins at 7:00am in the hospital rounding on inpatient acute care patients. By 9:00am she in the Clinic seeing patients for a wide range of needs including diabetes and high blood pressure to coughs and colds. She is also on call for the emergency room and rounds once a week on patients in the skilled care unit. She does this from Monday through Thursday, every other week. Ward earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics with a minor theatre art. She then attended medical school at the University

Most Wired Hospitals Use Technology to Partner with Patients on Health Technology is making it easier for patients and providers to interact, thus improving communication, safety and patient-provider relationships.
